About SPEED project

SPEED : Strategies for regional caPacity building of hybrid Elelctric vehicle in Engineering Division

This Project is co-funded by the European Union’s ERASMU+ Programme under Grant Agreement N. 101179223

The SPEED project empowers Middle Eastern nations to navigate the HEV/EV revolution by bridging the skills gap. Through meticulous needs assessments, engaging learning resources, and practical training, SPEED equips individuals and fosters regional collaboration. By empowering educators, fostering exchange, and establishing a Center of Excellence, SPEED aims for a lasting impact on the region’s HEV/EV landscape and a greener future.

Industry surveys and HEI consultations (Task 2) paint a clear picture of current skill gaps, guiding the development of engaging online modules, offline materials, and assessments (Task 3). Train-the-Trainer workshops (Task 5) equip faculty to deliver the curriculum effectively.

Hands-on training is crucial. SPEED identifies necessary equipment and resources (Task 4.1), explores partnerships (Task 4.2), and develops detailed experimental manuals (Task 4.3). Blended learning (Task 4.4) seamlessly integrates online modules with practical sessions, leveraging simulation tools for immersive experiences.
Student mobility programs (Task 5.2) foster cross-cultural learning, while joint research activities (Task 5.3) drive innovation. A Center of Excellence (Task 3.5) attracts talent and propels regional leadership. A code of practice for cleaner production (Task 3.3) minimizes environmental impact.

Info sessions and workshops (Task 6.1) attract new stakeholders. A dedicated website (Task 6.2) ensures knowledge sharing. A final conference (Task 6.5) celebrates achievements and disseminates learnings.
SPEED’s impact goes beyond individual skills. It contributes to regional development, fosters responsible practices, and leaves a lasting positive mark on the HEV/EV education landscape, paving the way for a digital and green future.
